*Sigh* I lack discipline, that is the truth

I finally figured it out.  I lack the discipline needed to lose the weight I need to lose.  It's too hard, the kids won't eat the veggies when I cook them, hubby is picky, it's too cold out to go for a walk, etc etc.

Well, now I think I've finally figured it out. 


With God all things are possible, something my mother always told me.  I've decided that losing weight isn't going to be hard for me anymore.  I'm putting this issue in God's hands once and for all.

Romans 12:1 (NIV) Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God - this is your true and proper worship.

I will be following the blog of www.womenlivingwell.org and doing the 5 Weeks 5 Disciplines 5 Challenges series.

Week 1: Goal - 1 pound a day, 1 hour walk everyday for 5 days.

Here we go!

  1. You don't have to be over weight to be unhealthy. I don't sleep well at night, I'm tired all the time, my body is stiff and sore, etc. I don't eat properly and I don't exercise. I don't need to lose a pound a day but the walk one hour every day sounds like a good plan to me. What time of day are you walking?

  2. Hey Mary! I walk at different times each day. I try to walk to the school to get Anna and then I try to do a 1 hour walk after supper with the dog.
